How to change a Tyre
1. Put the vehicle in parking brake to reduce the risk of the vehicle rolling.
2. Apply wheel wedges (these can even be large stones or bricks) behind or in front of the vehicle to further ensure against vehicle rolling. If for instance you are changing the back tyres, place the wedges in front of the front tyres and if you are changing front tyres place the wedges behind the rear tyres.
3. Remove Wheel Cover for you access the lug nuts.
4. Proceed to use the lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts. Turn the wrench in an anti-clockwise direction until you feel the lock nuts loosening. Sometimes you will need to use a little more force to get it done.
5. Now place the jack under the vehicle. Normally look for metal exposed area beneath the vehicle frame alongside the flat tyre and place the jack there. Or refer to vehicle manual.
6. When the jack is properly positioned, raise the vehicle with the jack until the flat tyre is off the ground. DO NOT PUT YOURSELF UNDER THE VEHICLE AS IT IS RAISED BY THE JACK.
7. Now totally unscrew the lug nuts.
8. Remove the flat tyre.
9. Mount the spare tyre on the lug bolts. Line up the rim with the lug bolts
10. Put lug nuts back on the lug bolts and tighten them by hand first.
11. Lower the vehicle to the ground using the jack then tighten the lug nuts in the clockwise direction with the wrench.
12. Lower down the vehicle completely and remove the jack from underneath the vehicle. Ensure the lug nuts are tightly inserted and not loose using the wrench.
13. Replace the Wheel cover and you are done!
